So,my Doctor office called me this afternoon with my results from yesterday...checking my thyroid again. The medical asistant told me I was "borderline" and my Dr wants to repeat bloodwork in three monthes. I'm not happy with that...not at all! I mean...basically I feel like she was telling me..."maybe something is wrong, but who knows...we'll wait and let you suffer for 3 more monthes...you know, thru the heat of summer....and by then, after you have heat stroke *maybe* we will learn something" I mean COME ON!

Soooooo, knowing how heat affects me and my MS. I decided to call my neurologist-whom I wasnt suppose to see until June 12th. When I called,I explained about having the bloodwork(which he requested because I told him how hot I am all the time) and what the results were. I told them that my face has been going numb all week because of the heat and it's only going to get worse if I cant figure out WHY I am getting so hot. I mean, how can I change anything, when I dont understand why it is happening. Soooo...needless to say,I have a new appointment on May 17th. They want my blood results faxed over and said we will "trouble shoot" at my appointment.

At least they are trying!

Sometimes the problem isn't to be found in bloodwork. ARGH! Doctors can be so frustrating when they won't listen. I am so glad your neuro listened and got you an earlier appt. Maybe he can give you some tips/advice/ideas then. That's still 2 weeks away, but at least it's not 3 months!!!!!

Yeah sometimes it's just not in your blood. I hope they can figure something out on the 17th. And I hope that numbness goes away sooner than that.
