How do you cook your turkey for Thanksgiving? Or if you don't do the cooking on Thanksgiving, how do you prefer it to be cooked?

When we host Thanksgiving we use the Alton Brown method of cooking a turkey and it always turns out great! We always get lots of complements on it. Good Eats Roast Turkey Recipe : Alton Brown : Food Network

I would prefer it to be cooked that way all the time. LOL

my DH cooks on our year to host. He stuffs the turkey with fruit. Probably sounds a little weird, but it turns out so moist and you do not taste any fruity taste to it at all.

I don't stuff the turkey, but I do cook it breast side up with bacon strips on top and covered while it's cooking. I remove the cover the last hour baking with basting it as often as possible. Once it's done I take the crispy bacon and crumble it up to mix into the stuffing and gravy.

❤ Big Thanks to Vicki, trishosaurus, & Shortcake for the great siggies of my kids! ❤

I cook it in an electric roaster oven (pretty much steams it) and then I put it under the broiler for 10 minutes or so to get it brown. It comes out very moist.
