Do you have to purchase a specific gym uniform from the school for P.E. class? Does your child get penalized if they don't dress out for gym?

I had to purchase one and she does get marked as unprepared if she's not wearing it. She failed gym last term because of it. Her school has metal detectors so it takes longer to get into the school, gym was first period. By the time she got in it was already past the time to change for gym and the teacher would penalize her and other students for it. I was none to pleased about it to say the least.

❤ Big Thanks to Vicki, trishosaurus, & Shortcake for the great siggies of my kids! ❤

We rent the uniforms. It's $10 a year for PE and $25 for athletics (because you have all your practice jerseys too). However, the school washes them every week, so they never have to take it home and forget it.

Not yet..just needs sneakers or rubber soled shoes and she does lose points off her grade if she does not have those. Next year she will need clothes.

we had to purchase gym shorts and t shirt for David. Luckily since he only gets taller and doesn' put on weight, he should be able to use the same outfit for all three years of middle school

School T-shirt with black/grey shorts or sweatpants.
They always have it, so I don't know if kids are penalised or not!
