Sorry, I just saw this! It's a progesterone shot that they think helps prevent preterm labor. The idea is that the progesterone keeps your uterus from getting too twingy/contracting too much too early, and a twingy uterus maybe causes some cases of premature rupture of membranes (that's what happened to me and why Jim was early). I'll be starting mine at 16 weeks, assuming I can sort out getting the prescription filled--Walgreens still doesn't have the newly-FDA-approved version in its system, so I have to go back up there, retrieve my prescription form, and try to get it from a compounding pharmacy now that they're allowed to compound it again (FDA just said they'd allow that as of last week).

Oh, i wonder if that would help me in any way... my water breaks bec/ it doesnt have any more room to grow but i wonder if i had that would it keep my water from breaking and cause my uterus to stretch out more instead? Hm
