Im so sorry that you even have to ask this question, but did they ever do a u/s? Im just wondering if there was even a gestational sac. If there were one, it would be really small, so since you had some clots yesterday, you might of passed it already and just not noticed. You should bleed like a heavy AF. If your not bleeding heavy, than it could take a couple of weeks. I would call your dr and ask at what point do they want to do a u/s to make sure everything is ok. Again, Im so sorry...

She said she doesnt thing it will be needed. But she did tell me if i do get a fever or the cramps get worse then to come right in. They dont like to deal with women that lost a baby at a early stage, they tell u wants going on and thats it. Thats what they did with my last too losses, they said there is nothing we can do cause i was so early in pregnancy. They could have alest looked at me, but she just talked to the doctor and thats it.

I am so sorry for your loss.

I miscarried at 8 weeks, but our little one was only measuring at 4/5 weeks. Mine was a long, drawn out process, so don't be scared by what I am describing - it is a completely different experience to each woman.

I started spotting on a Thursday and officially starting miscarrying on a Saturday. Just heavier bleeding, big clots and not much cramping. This continued for a week - like a very, very heavy period. Then the next Friday, I started cramping very badly - worse cramping of my life. This continued for the afternoon and the next morning I felt like I passed the gestational sac. You will know this because the tissue will be gray, not red. Thankfully, this early on, you won't see anything that resembles an actual fetus. That part can be heartbreaking. After that, my bleeding let up and got very light.

Unfortunately for me - this is the part where things got long and drawn out. I had my first follow up and I was still testing positive on a pregnancy test. We decided to let things continue on to see what my body did. 2 weeks pass, still with light bleeding, no more clots, no more tissue. My next follow up - same thing. Still testing positive. So I was given Cytotec/Misoprostol to push my body into releasing whatever tissue was still stuck in there. Thankfully, the Miso worked and I started bleeding heavier again with a few more clots. I had minor cramping (like period cramps). 3 days later (this past Monday) I was finally getting completely negative test. I had a follow up ultrasound yesterday and my uterus looked fine with no more tissue and just a few clots working their way out.

So basically...you will know you passed everything when you have a negative pregnancy test and a clear ultrasound. I went a more natural/hollistic way (with a little push from some great meds), trying to avoid a d&c at all costs. The decision is always yours, and each woman's choice on whether to go D&C or natural is a very personal one.

I hope I answered your questions and gave you some insight into an earlier miscarriage. I am so sorry for your loss. Please feel free to PM me if you have any more questions. And keep us update on whats going on. Hugs sweetie.

I was about 6 weeks when I lost my baby, I bled from last Saturday(Apr. 25-May5), had cramping and lots of sadness. Today was the first day I didn't have cramps or bleeding, which is a relief.
I am so sorry you had to go through this and wish you the best!

If you are under 6 wks, it will be like a very heavy period with lots of clots. If you are past 6 wks then you will bleed pretty heavy, your cervix will dilate and you will know when you pass the baby. I passed my past 6 wks, whole they were still in their sac, if you only pass small amounts of tissue and develope a fever you may have an incomplete and may need a D&C.
You really need to be checked, even if it's by the ER.
