This is my 2nd m/c. But it's my first to happen naturally. My last m/c I was 11 weeks and had a d&c. I'm 99.9% positive I passed the baby yesterday. (Lots of large clots & strong cramping) I was 5 weeks 5 days. How long should I expect to bleed & have cramping? Will af come back quicker since this is a natural m/c?

I wish I could offer some advice. My loss wasn't a m/c but many of the women here know exactly what you are dealing with.
Just wanted to say I'm sorry and hope we can be of some help.

I haven't had a d&C. But my af usually comes within 30-40 days after a m/c. I also cramp for longer than I bleed, but the amount of time can vary so much. *hugs*

Thanks to Jaidynsmum for my siggy!

(((HUGS))) I am sorry for your losses.

I have had 2 natural m/c just before 6w. With my losses I bleed for just a little longer and heavier than a normal AF. After my losses AF was back within about 40-45 days. About 2w longer than normal.

I have also had an ectopic loss that was removed surgically. I found that I bleed more after the surgery than I did after my natural losses.

But everyones body is different.

Im sorry for your recent loss, and welcome you here. I have had only d&c's with my m/c's, but was told that natural m/c's would take a little longer for the HCG to drop out of your system, wich in turn would trigger your AF. Depends on how high your levels were at the time of m/c. Good luck to you, and I hope this process is quick for you.

My losses were similiar....I had a D&C at 10.5 weeks, then a natural m/c at 6.5. With the natural, I don't remember more than 2 days of cramping and a couple more of bleeding.

AF after my D&C came 36 days later and 38 days after my natural, but I'm sure it's different for different women. I was charting though, and my cycles were back to normal the cycle after my natural m/c, while after my D&C I ovulated later for a couple months before they got back to normal.

I had a D&C, so I can't offer you any advice on a natural miscarriage. I just wanted to say that I'm so sorry for your loss, and I hope that this is over for you as quickly and painlessly as possible.

With both my natural m/c I bled for about 2 weeks total and AF came back almost exactly a month later. But everyone is different.

I also want to say that I am so sorry for your loss
