I had a D&C last friday, I was 11w6d, and had begun M/C naturally a week before.

I figured it would take a while for my HCG to drop, they said it was still super high the day before my D&C. Well I just took an HPT and it's negative already???

I am thrilled! BUT... Is it possible it's that low already?? I used an IC, so I will take another tomorrow to make sure it wasn't a dud, but wanted to ask you girls if this is possible so soon after when I was so far along??

*****Cautiously happy to be done with this M/C stuff!*****

I don't know. I haven't done a test since my M/C. I'm afraid it will read "pregnant" still and I just couldn't cope with that.

Maybe after my exam this week. I'm hoping it's all over for me as well.[/b]
Good luck sweetie. I know how you feel for sure!!

I finally worked up the guts a couple of days ago to take a HPT and it read negitive. My m/c was a complete natural. I was afraid to test sooner becasue I thought if it were still positive I might come unglued.

I wish I remember when mine showed negative. It was either one or two weeks after the D&C/. (The m/c started five days before). Sorry I couldn't be more help

On 1/31/12 at exactly 16 weeks pregnant Noah came too soon.
If you would like to see pictures of my sweet (but tiny) boy they can be viewed at www.caringbridge.org/visit/noahdarrohn they aren't the easiest pictures to look at but I am willing to share them with anyone who would like to see them <3
On August 2, 2012 we lost Sarah at 17 weeks. Her pictures can be viewed at http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/sarahdarrohn
There is no known explanation for my losses.

Is your doc not monitoring your hCG levels? You could always call and ask to have them checked.

I'm having mine done weekly, I think mostly because they were never able to rule out ectopic in my case. So yay, I have to keep getting my blood drawn.

Good luck hon.

With a D&C, the HCG levels will drop much quicker than w/ a natural m/c b/c the pgcy is taken out of your body completely. I Oed exactly 2 weeks after I stopped bleeding from my D&C.

I have had 3 HCG tests so far, but I never asked what the numbers were, they just told me they were dropping the way they should be. I had my 3rd one on Thursday and they were supposed to call me Friday to tell me what they were doing but they never did So I really had NO idea what they were at! I just know they said they were super high the day after I started M/C.
