How long after your miscarriage did you have to wait for AF to come back?

I'm 3 weeks out from my miscarriage and i'm still waiting, impatiently. I always hated when she showed up before, but now i'm welcoming here. I just want to start getting my cycles back.

I read that it can take up to 3 - 6 weeks before AF comes back after a natrual miscarriage, but wanted to ask you ladies how long it took you.

Thanks.

Mine actually returned as if I were never pregnant at all. I was SOOOO happy when AF came back!!! Also, I had 2 days of spotting before she came back full force which was annoying. Good luck. Hope she comes soon!

If you would like to see pictures of my sweet (but tiny) boy they can be viewed at www.caringbridge.org/visit/noahdarrohn they aren't the easiest pictures to look at but I am willing to share them with anyone who would like to see them <3
On August 2, 2012 we lost Sarah at 17 weeks. Her pictures can be viewed at http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/sarahdarrohn
There is no known explanation for my losses.

I'm sorry you're going thru this.

I've had 2 natural miscarriages and they were very different. The first was at 9 wks and complicated--involving an ambulance trip to the ER, barely escaped emergency surgery, far more painful than my natural childbirth with ds, bled for 4 wks and became very anemic, had uterine afterpain cramping for 6 months following the m/c. My cycle returned after 4 months. I didn't even consider ttc for about 9 months because my body didn't feel ready.

My 2nd m/c was a blighted ovum that passed at 8 wks. Period-like bleeding, no complications, and I ovulated 3 wks later and conceived ds.

I really think that each m/c is different and affects your body differently. I don't know that hard and fast rules can apply. Consider this a time to really nurture yourself. Your body will come around in its time.

I'm in the same boat as you. I had my m/c the same day you did and I'm impatiently waiting for AF. It seems like this happened a long time ago. Time has dragged by since this happened.

I really don't want it to take that long to get it back because we are going to want to try again soon. Before this my cycles have always been 28 days due to the pill and before I was on the pill my cycles were very regular though I'm not sure how many days there were.

I'm still waiting also; I'm 24 days into my m/c cycle, and 17 days post D&C.
