We bought new carseats on Wednesday. DH backed into someone in a parking lot a few weeks ago and the insurance and car seat expert people recommend new seats even for a 5 mph impact, so we just replaced them. I know our old ones aren't damaged, but oh well. The whole thing was a scam....the guy waited for dh to back out, then demanded we just "cut him a check". We called the place where he got a quote and they told us he demanded a quote for a new bumper (which he did not need, it was only one tiny scratch which wasn't even consistent with the type of accident we had. I'm still so mad about it all.

Anyway, I just wanted to let you all know that Graco now makes a seat that allows rear facing up to 40 lbs. Its called a MyRide 65. Cori should be 4 or older before she reaches that mark. There is a max on where their head reaches on the seat too....but that doesn't really apply to us with our super short kids . I've always been a Britax fan, but this seat is pretty nice and its recline gives Cori more leg room too. Just thought I'd mention this new seat since they are now saying rear facing is WAY safer and to do it as long as possible.

I hate it when ppl target others like that....Can you report him for insurance fraud?? Can your insurance company investigate the accident??

Thanks for the info on the car seat...I plan to have Cecil Rear Facing for as long as possible too.
