I feel so horrible. I decided that tonight would be the night to get DD to sleep in her own bed. I LOVE co-sleeping with DD and DS, but I have to stop. I realized that I am not getting enough good sleep and I am in so much pain from not being able to move at night (since I am stuck sleeping on my side between the two kids) that I have to stop. I put her to sleep and then put her in her bed. She cried and cried. I never wanted to CIO, but I had to do something. She cried for a total of about 30 minutes. I went in to comfort her every so often until she fell asleep.

I hope that this works well tonight and I can continue to get her to sleep in her own bed.

Oh Laura - I am so sorry. I KNOW that was an incredibly difficult decision to make. I wish I knew some secret to make that transition seamless.... I wish you all the best & I KNOW this isn't something you take lightly...and your kind of back pain is also NO JOKE..... I truly don't knwo how you have made it this long.

I am sure you will work out the best scenario for you & your kiddos - I have NO doubt of that.

We're having some sleeping issues, too. If you find something that works, let me know.

Aw Laura, if you're a bad mommy then we are all bad mommies because we'll all have to do it to. You are doing the right thing no matter how heartbreaking it is.

I guess it is getting better. It is certainly much easier to put her in the bed- if she cries she only does so for a minute or two before going to sleep. However, she hasn't wanted to stay in her bed much the last couple of nights. I think that she is FINALLY teething, though, so I won't complain about that (I felt a little point in her mouth today ). So, we are making some progress, but I guess it just takes time!
