Do you think it is a must to cook your own meal at Thanksgiving or is it now acceptable to eat our or have food catered?

I think it is really important and a part of the whole Thanksgiving holiday to cook with your family. Maybe I am just a sucker for tradition

We are actually spending Thanksgiving with some friends, one of which is an EXCELLENT cook and I would hate to miss out on her talent. Our family is celebrating the day this week and because the hostess has been on bed rest most of her pregnancy, they have opted to have it catered. In that case I can't say that I blame her.

When we were younger, my mother was chronically ill. For thanksgiving we went to a community dinner. It was free, but donations were accepted for the local food bank. They had a huge buffett of classic Thanksgiving food. It was wonderful.

Now, my sister hosts it and cooks the food. As long as we are all together, I really don't care where the food comes from.

Special thanks to AlexAiden Mommy for my precious siggy
