Sweet Ridley grew his wings last night around 8:30 when he went to be with Jesus. I'm beyond devasted and can't begin to feel the pain that his family is going through. He was taken off the vent yesterday around 130 and he lived until last night. That gave him some time with his mom and dad without all the tubes and such. No matter how hard I try, I can't seem to wrap my head around this. Thank you for your prayers and I hope you will continue to pray for this family as they have a long road ahead of them. Hug your children extra tight and love them with all of your heart because we never know what tomorrow holds. Thanks again for your prayers. I think if it's ok, I'm gonna stick around here and participate in your board. It's wonderful to know there is a board on here where christian parents can come together. may God bless each and every one of you. Thanks again for listening and for the prayers.

Good afternoon. I'm not a regular here but felt the urge to ask for your prayers for a young couple in our church. They are only 20 or so, newly married and had a beautiful healthy baby boy named Ridley on Dec 20. A couple weeks ago he was taken to children's hospital in little rock and they were 99% sure he had meningitis. They started treated him did the tests and the tests came back negative. He improved over the next couple days on antibiotics and they sent him home sunday before last. Last tuesday morning, his fever came back up and he went into cardiac arrest. He was med flighted back to childrens where they determined he did in fact have meningitis. The test came back with a false negative due to the antibiotics he was already receiving when they did the test. We have prayed as a church and as a community for healing for this precious baby boy. They were having trouble stabilitzing his blood pressure and he had to much pressure in his brain. The drs. came in last night and told the family that there was nothing more they could do for him and that he showed no brain activity. Ridley's parents were supposed to make some type of decision today I guess about taking him off life support. His mom got to hold him last night for the first time since all this happend last week. Our hearts and heavy and I'm absolutely devasted. I am 20 weeks pregnant right now with a baby boy and have 3 other kids as well and as a mother I can't imagine the pain they must be going through and having to make a decision like that. As humans, we are selfish and pray for healing and for a full recovery and forget to ask that God's will be done. THat is just not an easy thing to do under the circumstances. I try to pray that whatever the Lords will is for this precious baby and his family, be done, but I really want that baby to be healed and live his life. I just ask that you pray for peace and understanding for this family and our church family. This is absolutely devasting and breaks my heart. Thank you for listening.

I'm just now seeing this... How horrible!!!

I can't even imagine! Praying for the family during this difficult time!

The pg loss study that we did in the sub-forum above might be something your frined might get something out of... Threads of Hope, Pieces of Joy. It is...
A Bible study designed to sensitively minister to the needs of individuals or groups who have experienced a pregnancy loss through miscarriage, stillbirth, or any form of early infant death.
Just a thought.
