I saw this on a blog this summer (or maybe it was an e book??) and it has worked WONDERS in my house!! I chose my own five things and added a bible verse at the end. So now instead of asking my 8 year old to do everything step by step, I just say, "go do your list." He can't play video games or anything until his list is done.

Morning five:
Straighten up bed <-----(also learned to take off the top sheet to make it easier)
Feed fish
Get clothes from behind door <----(our house is way too small for clothes hampers lol)
Brush teeth after breakfast
Kitchen job after breakfast

Ephesians 6:1-4

Bedtime five:
Shower (pjs and hang up towel)
Take medicine and brush teeth
Wipe sink
Pick up bedroom mess
Pick up Living room mess

~ Ginger

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb...I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made...My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together...Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. Psalm 139: 13-16

Great idea! Kynslee isn't quite to that point yet, but we do ask her to do small things so she can learn (ie.... throw your diaper away, put your sleeper in the hamper, bring your dish to the sink and give to mommy/daddy....)
