I haven't heard of it either.
I used to read all.the.time when I was a preteen but I haven't done much reading in my adult years. Most of the things I've read recently are pregnancy related.

I'm reading The Hunger Games series to refresh my memory for the soon to be released movie sequel, and a James Dobson book on parenting with three books in one. Lots of wisdom in James Dobson's book.

I'll also be reading the continuation of a series of books about an assassin and his gang of quirky people when it comes out sometime next year. A free e-book called Emperor's Edge is the first of the series and what got me hooked. I love action and suspense and romance and this series has all three.

Series I've enjoyed in the past are the Harry Potter series, the Twilight series, the Chronicles of Narnia, and Jurassic Park and Lost World. The most recent stand alone book I've read is The Host by the Twilight author. Very different from the author's first books and fascinating storyline. The movie based off the book is terrible, but the book was amazing.

I love reading too! Because I never have time to sit and read a physical book, I read on my iPad (kindle app) while breastfeeding (which is what I'm doing now!). I recently bought two ebook bundles, one for homemaking and one for homeschool and both have been AWESOME. I've learned so much and it's introduced me to tons of very helpful blogs. I've also been reading a chronological bible but I'm still in Genesis at the moment.

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb...I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made...My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together...Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. Psalm 139: 13-16

I go in spurts reading books....I'll read like 6 in a row and then decide I haven't got that kind of time, and quit reading for a while.

Right now I'm reading 1000 Gifts by Ann Voskamp. Highly highly recommend it.

I was reading the second Hunger Games book, didn't finish it before I went to see the movie but I want to finish it. I have been really thinking to get a Kindle or something. I think I would read more.

mean2bemommie, the regular kindle is probably not expensive anymore. It's not backlit and I find strains my eyes far less than backlit things like my laptop.

I'm reading the following very slowly (a chapter or even a paragraph a night from one--I rotate what I pick up each night):
Beyond Opinion by Ravi Zacharias
Happy, Happy, Happy by Phil Robertson and some other guy
Fully Alive by Dr. Larry Crabb
Persuasion by Jane Austen
Kate's Secret Plan by Susan Saunders (my DD wanted to share her horse treasury book with me)
I've also been trying to read The Constitution: A Reader put out by Hillsdale College, but that's been going so slowly I'm not sure if I've retained anything.
