OK... these meatballs will last twice for my family, thereby making them extra super frugal.

1 lb. ground meat (I use turkey; .99)
1 egg (.12)
2 TBSP each of parmesean cheese and mozzarella cheese (.25)
2 tsp basil or italian seasoning (with oregano and basil)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp pepper (.15 seasonings)
1 to 1 1/2 c. bread crumbs (I use homemade bread, toasted in oven at 250 for about 20 minutes, then ground in blender--.20)

put the meat into a bowl, add the egg and all seasonings and cheese into middle of meat and mix well. Add a cup of the crumbs and mix. If it's still a little wet, add up to another 1/2 c. bread crumbs. Make small balls, put on cookie sheet, and bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Add to sauce (1.00--less if on sale with coupons). I usually make between 60 and 70 small balls, and after they're baked, I freeze the remaining one half of them for the next spaghetti and meatballs night.

total for full batch of meatballs and sauce: 2.71 OR, total for half batch of meatballs and sauce: 1.85. Add pasta and veggie for a full meal of: 3.61 OR 2.85 (that'd be my family's meal, except I never pay a dollar for sauce! lol)
