Wow...what a jerk.

I'm personally happy that they've lowered the speedlimits here. Still though, I see a LOT of people speed right through. I really wish the police enforced them better.

Studies show that the survival rate increases from something like 30% to 70% when the speed limit is 30 as apposed to 50km/h.

I think it's a joint problem. I see a lot more people walking across the street without looking both ways AND I see a lot of people who seem to think if you want to move your car you should be able to.

I am all for lower school speed limits. I watched a 2nd grader run out from between 2 cars and get hit by a car going 20 mph and killed. It was terrible. That person wasn't even speeding. I drive a school bus and I see kids try to run out into the street, run along-side cars, etc. every day. Safety needs to be the number 1 priority for people driving through school zones. Kids should be taught what they need to do, but the adults really need to slow down and pay attention.
