Nope, not on your own efforts that is. Certain prophets have been taken to heaven without going through death but those are a special few. Those that are believers in Christ and are still alive for His second coming will also experience heaven sans death.
Heaven certainly can't be found within. Nothing sacred, holy, perfect can ever come from within rather it is when you turn your focus out, towards our Creator, that we can even catch a glimpse of His glory and perfection.

I believe that the light of Christ is within everyone, though this does come specifically from Christ- who is light. If that makes sense. I do believe there are places that we can be that are the closest we can get to heaven. It isn't literally heaven, to do that we do have to die, but we can be very close to heaven. Heaven is so many things, but personally it is being close with God and communicating with him, we can have that on earth. Have His Spirit with us. Our homes can be a bit of heaven even.

I do believe it is possible to visit heaven (and hell) before your death. However, I do not think this is something you can attain through any discipline of your own. Such a vision or experience would only happen as a gift from God for the benefit of your soul.
