Do you think it's fair that it's so easy for "Celebrities" to adopt children when "normal people" have to sometimes wait years to adopt a child?

I was in the grocery store today and the cover of one of the magazines was of Sheryl Crow and her new adopted son. It really does not seem fair that these celebrities have such an easy time adopting children when some people have years of waiting and many other hoops to jump through before they are able to adopt.

I don't know anything really about the adoption process, it just seems to me that one day they wake up and decide they want a child and a week later they have one.

Your opinions please.

Most celebrities I have seen with adopted children have done it internationally. I dont know who has adopted children and who does not otherwise.

I think a lot of them still go through the same paperwork. I think the biggest difference is that they don't have to save up money or prepare anything financially. They also tend to adopt from other countries where the adoption laws may not be as strict as they are here. I'm sure they still have to go through waiting periods and everything. They also have the money to pay good lawyers to get the paperwork taken care of quickly.
