So, what do you think the definition of a strong person is? Are you a strong person?

I think a strong person is a Leader not a Follower. They will do what they think is right, even if the whole world is against them. There are several people in history that I consider strong people. I think I am a fairly strong person, with weak moments, does that make any sense.

I think a strong person is someone who can continue to do what has to be done regardless of what comes their way, and keep a happy face on when they're sad. Someone who doesn't let hardships get to them. And yes, I consider myself strong. I think you have to be to live this life.

To me a strong person faces adversity and perserveres through it, and rises to the challenge of life. A strong person goes through hardship and becomes refined through the process and appreciates the process when all is said and done. A strong person isn't perfect, but flawed as only a human can be, but realizes their weaknesses and makes the most of them. A strong person may not have always been secure in who they are, but eventually realizes that they like who they are and are proud of what they have become. A strong person looks forward and knows that looking back doesn't change the outcome. A strong person marches to the beat of their own drummer. A strong person doesn't have a perfect life!

If you had asked me 2 yrs ago if I was a strong person I might have said no, but with everything that I've gone through in the past 19 months I definately know I am a strong person and can face anything that comes my way.

Great answers everyone! I also loved that quote. It just really struck me and I think it will stick with me too. I think it is so very true. When I was younger, I THOUGHT I was a strong person because if someone wronged me, that was it, I was no longer their friend or acquaintance. Now I know that that was really weakness in me that I couldn't even confront the problem and offer forgiveness to that person. I can do that now, but I still don't think I would characterize myself as a strong person. I know I still have so much growing to do as a person and look forward to that.
