I am mot new to JM, but have never posted here before.

My name is Lisa I am a SAHM to 6 wonderful children my youngest Talon is Special Needs he has Wolf-hircshhorn Syndrome. I am not sure if there are any other here with that or know much about it but it is in about 1 in 50,000 and it is a deletion for a part of the 4th chromosome. He is globally delayed right now he is getting OT, PT and having a special ed teacher come today to do an evaluation . Also having a speech eval done this week. As of now he says nothing, but he is doing so well with everything, I could not be more proud of him

Welcome! Sorry it took me so long to get to this. RL has been kinda crazy.

How did Talon's evals go? How often does he get OT and PT?

Its okay, I know how it is

We had to reschedule his speech evail (death in t he family) so it's today. His Special Ed one went well he should start SE service in the next week or so. And will get it twice a week. He is 16 months old and tested at about 9 months. He has OT and Pt each twice and week.

I am very sorry for your loss.

I am glad that his SE eval went well last week and that his services are starting soon. The earlier you can check these delays, the better the kids are in the long run. I hope the speech eval today went well.

I know that I am really late in replying but I wanted to say hello. Good for you in getting all the testing and that done so that you can get him started on all the SE services. I know that I wished that I would have started with Sadie sooner. She was my first and there were so many other things going on that I didn't even think that speech would be one of them. I figured that she would talk when she could hear and didn't think about all the other stuff that she was lacking at that time.

BTW I am a huge rambler!
