I am not sure if I am in the right place.

Someone very near and dear to me has a 5 year old who is suddenly displaying what appears to be facial tics. There is no known history of tourettes and we are at a loss.
The best way to explain this is she is scrunching her nose pursing her lips, and she does this 'dip' with her shoulders at times too. It started 4 days ago. And has worsened.
There has been a call in to the doc, but my friend is wondering if anyone has experienced this and if so was the onset this sudden.

I was able to witness first hand, and I can see her possible tics, and it's very worrying.

Any insight? Is there another place where this would be better fit? Please help me.
