My daughter is 9 months and Im ready to stop pumping. She doesnt eat from the breast-she is bottle only. I pump 4 times a day:
6am = 12 oz
10am = 5 oz
3:30 = 5oz
8:30 = 6 oz
So around 28-30 oz daily. Ive been the past 2 days just pumping to relieve the bulging pain and thats it but I'm super uncomfortable and not sure if its the right way. Should I be eliminating a pumping session and still emptying my breasts at the other pumping sessions instead? If anyone has some way they did it successfully and could share with me I would appreciate any insight. Thank you!

I would keep the regular pumping sessions and decrease the time pumping. So, if you normally pump for 15 minutes, drop it to 10, then 6, then 3 minutes gradually. After doing that then I would start cutting out a session per week. Or you could pump at 8am (a time between your 6am and 10am session), then pump again around 1 pm, then at 6pm).

I just stopped nursing my 14 month old and even though we were only nursing 1x a day when he weaned, a week later I was painfully engorged! I hand expressed a little, but just took some pain relievers and it subsided within a few days.

Start by eliminating a pumping session
