Hello,
My son came into my room last night with what looks to be chicken pox. I was wondering if your DS recieved the vaccine before. My son has had two vaccines. I am worried.

I am worried. My son came in and showed the bumps to me last night but I have been sick with the flu for the past three days so I kind of remember seeing them and I googled chicken pox and I think that is what they looked like. They have spread now. I called the Doctor and they said that he had two vaccines. They want me to bring him in tonight so wish me luck. I hope that if it is I can keep my other kids away.

Good luck tonight! I hope it's not the chicken pox! But if it is, there may be a chance your other kids may have caught it already because Jenny said once the bumps starts showing it isn't contagious anymore. Let us know how it goes!

The bumps arent contagious after they scab over(not when they show up).

According to Webmd You or your child can go back to work, school, or day care when all blisters have crusted over. This is usually about 10 days after the first symptoms start.

Sorry I didnt say this yesterday - I hope your little one doesnt have it. Yes Thomas does have the vaccine for it.

BTW Thomas was back at school yesterday as his 2 crusted over, so he was happy to be at school for 1 day,

Thanks everyone. They are treating it as though it is an allergic reaction. They aren't exactly sure what it is. They dont think it is chickenpox though. They gave us two creams to try. He wont stop itching. I hope this goes away soon. They told us to keep him home today and see how he is over the weekend. He has been having all types of allergic reactions popping up. We just found out a few months ago that he cannot wear jeans due to an allergy. He has just been wearing sweat pants. None of my other kids have any allergic reactions except for my 04er who is allergic to Amoxicillin. Thanks again.
