Simple Stamp Cleaner
by Andrea Steed

I've become an alphabet stamp junkie. At a scrapbook convention this weekend, I bought three sets to add to my already growing collection, now bringing my grand total to 11 alphabet stamp sets--and I'm afraid I'm not done collecting!

I love alphabet stamps because they're so versatile, but I don't like having to clean them each time I use them. After I bought all these stamps, I went looking for a handy way to clean them. I received a great tip from a scrapbook store employee:

She suggested using baby wipes.

Perhaps since I don't have kids this solution never came to me, but I was certainly excited by this inexpensive and easy idea. I headed to the store, found the baby aisle and picked up a bin of baby wipes. I made sure to get a bin with a flip-top lid so that I could simply dab my stamps onto the top sheet to clean them, and then discard the sheet when it was full of ink.

Now my little stamp cleaner bin sits on my desk and it only takes a few seconds to clean my stamps. Of course, I "jazzed" the container up a little bit by painting over the label and adding a ribbon and my own "stamp cleaner" label.

Now there's no excuse for me not to use all those alphabet stamps I've collected!
