Well we had the intake worker from family supports for children with disabilities come in today..and it turned out to be a great thing! I was worried she would judge me because of how off the wall reggie acts or how inappropriate he is.
Well... we now qualify for respite, a behaviour aide and a housekeeper ... plus a few more things.. I think the house keeper is a little over the top, but sitting here thinking about it...the kid stays awake for 24hrs, and needs constant supervision...I know I have laundry downstairs i havent seen in a long time!!
Its hard to keep up to forever changing his bed or wiping down walls he decided to smear things on!(not too nice things either!)
Im really excited about respite though...and she has forwarded her findings on to our referal to other help also

It helped ALOT that reggie was off the wall today, throwing tantrums and being inappropriate to her. Other wise im sure she would think i was off my rocker.

That is SO awesome!! I wish we had something like that!! I have respite, but I dont have time to use it. I'd give a kidney to have housekeeping help (not a lot, just to stay on top of things)

lol...that's funny. I would love to have an on call sitter. I have had so many times when my sitters are unavailable and I have had to call in to work or cancel appointments. That is the one thing I would want. I am so glad that you are getting the extra hands you need.

Thanks .:Shortcake:. for my GREAT siggy.
