26 hours/month.

I hate respite... I won't go further but they're useless and horrible to deal with. We've spent months going through this mess and have given up. We get 26 hours a month and have never been able to use a single hour.

no, we don't get any "official" respite care. Of course the grandparents have offered many times to take Kaiden for a day or so, but right now I just can't imagine it. Al I need is DH to occasionally take him out of my hair for a few hours, and it's always do-able.

We tried it a few times recently. Way too much of a headache! Ellie still has major trust issues so it just doesn't work for us to have strangers take care of her.
