well to make me feel like an even horrible mom social services showed up on our doorstep on tuesday last week, and now she is making us get a in home support worker to reach "her goals" she has for us.
We are homeschooling our kids and they think its illegal.( she has NO clue) and she is worried about our 4yr old son not getting socialized..but either which way i can deal with it. It has alot to do with the boys mom and her infuluence at the CPS office.... everything we are doing is legal and 100% helping the kids.
on top of that we FINALLY got a diagnoses on our youngest... he has celiacs... totally not what i was hoping for, but something i can deal with. We have switched his diet right now and its working...he doesnt wake up screaming anymore.

now we just need diagnoses on our 4yr old(developmentally) and our youngest developmentally as well.
a little mad at the glenrose rehab hospital here as they canceled my 4yr olds assessment the same day we were going in, because they have lack of info..dunno what that means but we have left messages since wednesday with five different people and no call backs yet!

First of all..... You are not a horrible mom!

Second, I'm thrilled to hear you finally have a celiacs diagnosis! Not thrilled that he has it of course. Just glad you know what it is now and it's something manageable. I'm really happy you're already seeing improvement.

Social workers really have NO IDEA what they're talking about when it comes to homeschooling! We were also told it was illegal. I'll be praying for the situation with CPS. I'm sorry it's so rough for you. But maybe the in home help will be a good thing. At the very least to give you an extra pair of hands, which we can all use sometimes.

And the doctor's appointments being cancelled....well that just stinks!!!! I'm sorry. Praying you'll get it worked out soon.

First off...I am SOOO glad you have an answer and that it is manageable!!!!

Second...CPS just sucks. It seems like a lot of their energy is wasted harrassing people that are doing a much better job raising children and they just don't "agree with your methods". There are 2 families here that are having issues with that as well...

Thirdly...doc's cancelling the last minute SUCK!!!! I was pulling into the office one time and they called to cancel. I told them that they were going to have to work me in with someone somehow because I was not driving an hour back home after driving an hour there. They cooperated.

Thanks .:Shortcake:. for my GREAT siggy.
