Ady received her MMR#1 shot last Friday. She is 4yrs old and needed to get it to be able to attend public school for her Autism for this coming August.

Since receiving it, she has been having crying spells, mood swings, her sleeping pattern has been thrown off, and she has had a hard time concentrating, more than usual.

Has anyone experienced this with their child??

First of all, Hi and Welcome. Sorry it took me so long to respond.

I don't have any expirience with this. I have heard a lot of talk about a connection between autism and the MMR vaccine but I'm in no way an expert on the subject and don't really have an opinion. Have you posted this question on the Developmental Disabilities board? or on the Vaccine boards? Maybe someone there can help you more.

How is she doing now? Any improvement?

My child was typically developing until his MMR. He changed overnight. It's been a long road to recovery and I don't think we'll ever reach 100%. He is now diagnosed with autism.

I am not saying the MMR "gave" him autism, but I do think his personal biological system had a bad reaction and set off the autism, as has been proven to happen to some children in the past.

Keep an eye on it and if you see any developing delays on ongoing behavioral issues that do not improve, please take your child for an evaluation, as early intervention will be your child's best shot.

Also, vaccines are not necessary to send your child to public school. You can get an exemption. I hate that anyone would feel bullied into vaccinating their child thinking their child needs it for school, but since Big Pharma wants you to vaccinate and has everyone in their pockets, they are quick to tell you you need vaccines for school but consistently withhold that there are exemptions available.
Thank you Jaidynsmum for the beautiful siggy!
