I posted here a lot last year when I was expecting my 3rd child. My doctor was willing to let me VBAC after 2 previous c-sections, but the baby ended up being breech and I had another c-section. During my pregnancy, my stomach muscles tore and I'm still VERY numb just below my belly button but above my scar....I have more feeling in my scar! lol I'm not planning to have another one for a few years but I would still like a change to VBAC. I have discussed having another with my doctor and he said that he doesn't see any health reasons against my having another child. But I didn't bring up the subject of giving a VBAC another shot. When I went in for my last ultrasound to check my son's position, he was willing to let me wait another week, but I went ahead and scheduled a c-section. Which was pointless since my son was born 5 days before my schedule section because I went into labor. With all of that in mind. Would I be able to have a VBA3C?? Would I have to find a midwife for this or would I be okay with my doctor?? I will for sure hire a doula next time. I just couldn't afford one this time.

Hello. I have had 3 c-sections. My husband and I have decided to have another child. I really want to try vbac. Not to many hospitals are vbac frienly, especially vba3c. If God blesses us with a child we are going to use a midwife. Maybe a doula too. I am not really sure about the Doula's role. Good luck to you.

I would probably talk to your doc AND contact some midwives in your area. Your doc may say no but that doesn't mean thats the end of your VBA3C. I think you are just going to have to contact alot of caregivers to see if its safe for you with your particular situation. Best of luck!

If you are set on a hospital birth, start looking for doctor that will give you the chance now. If you like your doctor ask him now. Don't get blind sided if you really want that VBAC. There is no reason other than insurance companies that you aren't actually being allowed a TOL. Your risk is the same after 2 as it would be for me after 4. 0.9-1.3% chance of rupture. You also need to know that most ruptures are not full thickness ruptures and aren't even discovered until after the baby is born.
