I come over here from the August DDC to lurk so I figured I'd finally say hello .

My name is Dani and I am almost 29 weeks pregnant with our third child. I have a set of 8 year-old twins who were born via emergency c-section back in 2003. Terrible labor, terrible delivery, and terrible recovery. So this time around I am planning a VBAC delivery and really hoping for success so that I don't have the negative experience that I had with the twins. I was originally seeing the OB that delivered the twins but started to panic when he kept bringing up the big "C" during the last few appointments, so in the past few weeks I've switched from my old OB to a VBAC friendly midwifery practice, moved to a more VBAC-supportive hospital and hired my doula. I'm feeling confident that things WILL go my way this time!

Anyway, just wanted to say hello since I'll become more active on this board as my delivery date draws nearer. I look forward to getting to know you ladies and learning from you.

I had the same confidence, my entire attitude was "I WILL get my VBAC, I know I will" and guess what? I GOT IT! Good job not letting your old OB get you down and ruin your plans.

Hi! Welcome to the board

When they persisted in questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "Let the person among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her." John 8:7

Good luck mama! It sounds like you've done what you need to do to have your VBAC! Good for you for following your gut!
