DH's SA was today. It was supposed to be yesterday, but was moved to today. We got the results back in about 2 1/2 hours.

DH has Super Sperm. I'm not even teasing. His motility, morphology, count, forward progression, all if it was really high. His motility is at 90%!!

Part of me is going because we don't need anything else against us, but another part of me is gong because now we know that he is exceptionally fertile, and I am the only freak.

There is one problem on the test that I wanted to ask about. (The silly doctor didn't know anything at all about the test results. His suggestion was, "Take this to someone who has more knowledge of these things than I do.) I researched everything, so I knew what was going on.

DH has a really high 'round cell concentration.' It's 10 mil/ml, and should be under 1 mil/ml. DH has an appointment with the doctor on Friday for a thyroid check, and he will asked to be referred to a urologist then.

Everything I read said that germs and things are almost indistinguishable from white blood cells. If what he has in his semen is white blood cells, then he has some sort of infection, probably prostatitis. (I couldn't even find any mention of a round cell count being higher than 2 mil/ml let alone 10 mil/ml which worries me some.)

The thing is, everything I've read said that high white cell count impairs fertility. It lowers morphology and motility. How can his morphology, motility, count, everything, be as high as it is with that huge of a concentration of round cells? Even though everything looks spectacular, could the round cell concentration be impairing fertility?? Why would he have that high of a round cell concentration??

Wow. Cross off the SA on the list. Ask your RE about the SA numbers and all the questions you have.

That round cell count really would worry me. There are lots of different "round cells." They include many white blood cells, and several other body cells. He might have a bad infection, like you said prostatitis. It might also mean you have an infection. I would see if you can get a culture done, either of a semen sample, or a vaginal swab. That could be what the entire problem it. Many infections can be present for YEARS and have no clinic signs, other than fertility issues and miscarriages. Follow up on that. And and Congrats on the rest of it.

I hope I am spelling this right. Have then do a culture and check for Ureaplasma Urealyticum You can read just a little about it HERE I guess it's more common than most people realize. I'm getting ready to have my doctor check us for it. It's pretty easy to fix, but can cause some serious problems, and can go unnoticed for a LONG time!

Thanks to Jaidynsmum for my new siggy!
