How do you celebrate your birthdays in your family?

We usually just go out for dinner and have a cake at home. I swore last year I wasn't going to throw another family get together for Brady's birthday. For Brady, both my hubby and I took the day off work to spend the day with him and then had the grandparents over for cake.

I took the day off and let Sierra pick what she wanted for dinner. We are watching movies now....(I'm cheating and posting too. We've only seen this movie about a thousand times!), and then we are going to have cake and ice cream with the grandparents on Sunday after church.

We usually just do cake and presents after dinner. Usually the birthday person picks the dinner.

We used to go out to eat but since our four teenagers feel like they always need to order the most expensive thing on the menu we have not gone out in a LONG time

If you would like to see pictures of my sweet (but tiny) boy they can be viewed at www.caringbridge.org/visit/noahdarrohn they aren't the easiest pictures to look at but I am willing to share them with anyone who would like to see them <3
On August 2, 2012 we lost Sarah at 17 weeks. Her pictures can be viewed at http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/sarahdarrohn
There is no known explanation for my losses.

For DH and I, just presents and cake at home, used to be dinner and a movie pre-child For DS we went overboard for his first, he had three parties and I bought him a million presents. I really want to cut it back this year, but I'm already planning his Diego theme, so who knows?
