Do you allow your baby to have any candy?
Do you allow your baby to have soda/pop?

YUP, although I limit the soda, we dont keep it in the house but when we go out he can have one if he wants. but he has a peice of candy from the candy basket every night. I also let him jump on the bed, and I let him wear costumes out of the house, and I draw on him with marker, (harry potter scar, pirate mustache)

I get the parenting of the year award!! But my son is fairly happy, LOL. I have a laid back approach.

I spent 4 months hanging out with Spiderman two or three years ago. The kid wouldn't take that costume off for anything. I'd have to peel it off of him while he was sleeping just so I could wash it!

I do let them have candy basically anytime. I limit the soda just because I was never restricted with it, and I see the affects it's had on my teeth. (I'll need dentures by the time I'm 35 for sure. Maybe even 30! )

candy -always sugar free. I used to quarter cut grapes and freeze them, and both my kiddos loved those better than candy. Soda? Ummm no. My kids are hyper enough. Every now and then, as a treat I would, but it's not an every day thing. usually I mix club soda and fresh squeezed juice or sugar free juice I mixed up, and they adore that, and don't really taste the difference

Nolan hasn't had either yet-he does get gummie fun fruits, but no real candy or soda-he refuses to drink juice. I'm not worried, I figure he'll be begging for the stuff by the time he's four

He has a large costume collection, but happens to be in a spiderman phase right now. So what i do is, tell him to change into black spiderman, and we wash the red one, then tell him to be red spiderman and we wash the black one, LOL. Problem is sometimes he wants to wear the black one on top of the red one, liek the movie i think.

DD wasn't allowed to have candy until she was about 3 and I'm sticking to that with DS. Neither of them is permitted to have soda. We don't even permit it in our home!
