Alex is sleeping in his big boy bed!!!

OH my god, I am having a tough time I admit, I am so used to having him close. He has slept with me since he was a baby, normally he sleeps between me and Eddy with his head jammed into Eddy's armpit and his legs under my stomach. Sensory is his thing, he likes deep pressure, LOL. But we decided now is the time, and we prepped him for it, and he helped pick out spongebob sheets.

And he protested a bit, it took two room trips, two movies and 4 snacks, but he finally went to sleep, Didn't get out of the bed once, but he did get angry throw his pillows and say "I hate being a big boy anymore" I kept my trips to a kiss, showing him where our bed is, and fixing his pillows, I did not lay down with him. He fell asleep around 10 pm.

We moved our bedroom today into the spare room, so now there is a door connecting our room and his, we put his bed across the door and ours across the door, so with the door open he can see us, and we figure that will help him being so close maybe 3 feet between the beds, just enough space for the door to open. but we put a fish tank in the way so he can't climb in the middle of the night.

Wish us luck, here is to hoping the rest of the night goes well. And my heart will still be intact in the morning.

What wonderful news! It's always so sad watching them grow up so quickly. I hope the rest of the night went well.
