If you were in a management position, and the supervisors above you decided that instead of having 3 or 4 people to complete a certain amount of work you now only get 2 people to do the same work and no extra time was allowed, what would you do?

I would find all of the necessary evidence to display the flaws in their plan and if they didn't listen I would find another job. No amount of money is worth the stress that that would put a person through.

This question actually explains why I haven't been around much lately. When I first took this job, we closed the store with me, a cook, a waitress, and a delivery driver. The work that needs done to clean and close the store was split between the four of us. Occasionally if we had a slow night my cook would leave a little early and I would do my duties and theirs. Now my district manager and the store owners (the three of them combined are only in the store 2 or 3 times a year and honestly have no idea how the day to day stuff works) have decided that my cook and delivery driver have to leave at 8 pm during the week and 9 on weekends. We don't close until 10 and 11 though. Generally I end up doing all three jobs, while my waitress finishes her stuff (and then runs). I'm still expected to clock out 45 minutes after closing though. They can't seem to understand why that isn't possible, and I get yelled at over the phone or via email DAILY because of it.

I keep telling myself that if I just stick it out until August I get to be a SAHM again, but August is really seeming sooo far away right now!

I worked at Taco Bell when I was 16 and I was expected to take orders, prep the food, clean everything up, etc. and I worked the night shift alone across the street from a Chevy factory! I wouldn't usually get out of there until 2am. I gladly quit! It was a second job anyways.
