Not really sure what constitutes as "secondary"...other then with my first 5 babies I got pregnant right away (was bf'ing twice)...and now that we are trying for our 6th.....it's just not happening!

I am 38 and we have been trying for over 6 months now. I have an appointment later on this month with my primary care doctor to see about getting a referral out.....I hope they don't give me the run around because of my age and that it's #6 we are TTC......

You sound like someone whom has never breastfed a baby through pregnancy. It may not be breastfeeding at all that is causing her issue. It could be any other number of things, including AMA. She never said at any point that she wanted to wean but most of your advice is about weaning. It is VERY possible to get pregnant and successfully carry a baby and continue to nurse. The OP doesn't state if her periods have returned but if they haven't weaning doesn't mean they will promptly return.

1. Decrease the milk supply by decreasing the night time feedings.
2. Start giving your baby solid foods.
3. Wean altogether.
You should also prepare your body for conception. Follow the below-given tips:
1. Resume taking prenatal vitamins.
2. Keep the body hydrated.
3. Follow a healthy lifestyle and have a balanced diet.
4. Intake of natural herbs like vitex, Shatavari, red raspberry leaf, milk thistle seed, and milky oats might help.
