so not only do have issues with the fridge today, furniture being delivered late, dog getting loose while all the work people were here, having painful b/h contractions.....

My mom just called and told me that my grandma who is 83 just had a stroke today. She is in the hospital and can talk but its all slurred and they don't know yet how she is going to be. She already lives in a retirement complex but now they don't know if she will be able to go back there, she might have to go into a nursing home. She is being stubburn and doesn't want to take her meds!

I wish I could go be with her but I can't...at least my aunts are there with her. It's my dad's mom and he can't get out there because he just started a new job. It just stinks...everyone is getting so old and I wish they would just stop getting old!

I'm sorry!!

I know how you feel. My dad is overseas right now and last week I got to see him on the webcam. I was crying (and tearing up now) over how old he looks. It was so devastating. He's the world to me, and just couldnt imagine living without him being here. I'm his little girl and I want him to be around for my children because he is so much fun and has so much to teach them.

Ok, now that I am crying... I will stop!

I am sending my well wishes to your grandma!

I hope your grandma is ok. My grandpa had a pretty massive stroke and was able to live on his own for a few years and function just fine, his speech was just slurred.
