Girl I went through this for 7 months straight last year, so I really know how you feel. It's awful! Just trust that he's coming home to you safe and sound.

Thanks everyone . And wow, you are fast responders!!

I will definately go crazy if this is how the whole deployment is. Traveling around seems to be the most dangerous part of being over there. So I'd rather he just stay somewhere dangerous I think. Oh well, he said they will be coming back sometime to where they left from--so I guess they're doing some mission or something? No idea, but it doesn't feel good.

Laura... the best thing you can do is not worry I know that sounds stupid but as real as it seems... just have faith in the good ol military system... He is not going to say where he is... he might be out of harms way and doesn't want to speak over a Land Line... Keep your chin up... trust me I couldnt tell hubby where I was for 2 weeks.. well exhubby... and when he did convoys... it was a month once that I didn't hear anything

Thanks girls. I'm a little better today. This is our 3rd deployment, so I'm new to them--but this is my first deployment to a war zone. I guess it just takes some time to adjust to the new feelings.

Yeah, that's generally what I try to do. I just force myself not to dwell on this kind of stuff, it's not going to help anything, and it only makes me miserable. So I'll try
