I have been using GIMP for awhile and now I am learning Photoshop. All my photos, whether opened in GIMP or just regular Windows Photo Viewer are fine. The colors are bright and crisp. But when I open them in Photoshop they are DARK! I did some research online and it explained about going into the color settings and change it. I've tried them all but they are still too dark! Hopefully someone can help me out!

I'm having color issues myself. It looks better in photoshop & then when I save it and look at it. It looks distorted a bit & very dark.

Here is the fix that I had found that actually worked. When you have your image open in photoshop go to view and then go to proof colors and set that to Monitor RGB.

That should fix the problem in seeing your photos being light in photoshop but dark when you view them in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer or other places.
