I had a doctors appointment on Monday October 13 and when she checked me i was 5cm dialated and still thick. but the night before i was woken up by feeling sick and my belly was rock hard for about 20mins. after i was finally able to sleep i had a few contractions that didn't really bother me at all. I started having regular contractions at around 2pm that were about 4 mins apart. but I wasn't keeping track of them because they didn't even hurt. At about 4pm they were about 3-4mins apart and pretty regular so we called the doctor and she said to head in and she would meet us there. So we got the kids ready to go over to there cousins house since we weren't expecting it would be too long before he would make his arrival. We got checked into the hospital at 5:30pm. I'm still smiling and laughing at this point even though my contractions are 2-3mins apart. they didn't hurt at all. the nurses said i make labor look easy. At around 7pm my doctor finally arrives and she checks me and i'm about 6cm. he is posterior and so is my cervix. we decide to break my water and for about 15mins after she broke my water my contractions begin to get alittle more painful. I figure lets try the tub for a little while since i've heard that would help so i was in the tub from about 8- 8:30pm which they told me that i had to get out because we can't have a baby in the tub. by than the contractions were getting very painful and i was asking for an epidural. but by that time it was too late. once i was able to get back in the bed I leaning up on the ball trying to get him to turn around since i was having back labor. once he was able to turn they way he was suppost to be the contractions didn't hurt as bad because i was able to lay back down and breath through the contractions at about 9 we were getting aready to have a baby and started to push at 9:05 and he arrived at 9:12pm weighing 6lbs 14oz and 20'' long.
