it took my dh and i 18 months to fall pregnant. we were told we would not be able to conceive naturally. after to failed fertility treatments we fell pregnant naturally with a perfect little girl. my pregnancy was perfect. it was an uneventful journey. on the build up to my birth i had a birth plan all worked out. i wanted to go as natural as possible with no drugs.
on the 9th of July, 3 days before my due date. i woke up knowing this baby had to come out. i phoned my doc and told him i wanted to be induced. he booked me in for the next day. we had to be at the hospital at 4am. at 6am they applied the postgladin gel in. soon after istarted with back to back contractions. after a few hours my doc tried to break my waters but couldnt. this carried on till lunch time. by then i was in a lot of pain with no progress. at 1pm we decided to do a c section. the theatre only became available at 6pm, so i labored for another 5 hours with no drugs and zero progress. Kyla was born just after 6pm with the cord around her neck. thank goodness we had a c section.
she was born weighing 3.2 kgs, measuring 50cm. with an apgar score of 9/10.
i am thankful i followed my gut to get her out when i did.
she is our little miraclke baby.

Thank you *Kiliki* for my beautiful siggy

What a cool story. Congrats on your miracle baby, and I'd say it sounds like your mother's intuition is quite strong!
