On the 16th of December I had to to my 39 week prenatal appt. The nurse took urine, did my blood pressure and took my weight. The nurse looked kinda worried when she saw my blood pressure. She said it was high and she will retake it after I see the ob/gyn. I saw the ob/gyn and she checked my cervix. I was 4 cm dilated. The nurse redid my blood pressure and it was still high. The nurse told my ob/gyn. My ob came in the room and said that they were concern about my high blood pressure and since I'm close to my due date she wanted to induced me. I called Danny and said they are inducing me. I walked over to Labor and Delivery that where they preped me to bring Will into this world. They started the Pitocin at 4 pm. I started to feel the contractions around 5:30. I sat there and hung out with Danny. I got a small dose of pain relievers. At 8:00 a nurse came in the room to check my cervix. Before she got the chance my water broke. She checked me and I was at 5 cm. She said she will check me again at 9:30. At 9:35 she checked and I was already 8 cm. Already I feel a great pressure down there. the pain relievers already has faded and it was painful. I didn't even ask for the epidural. I was dilated at 10 cm at 9:42. I felt like i had to push. I pushed for 2 minutes and at 9:44 pm William Augustus was born. Danny got to cut the cord. And they laid a 2 second old William on my chest where he laid for a few minutes. William weighed 9 lbs 5 oz. His length was 21 inches long.
