Let's post all of our recipes for appetizers here!

I'll add an index in this top post as entries are added so we won't have to scroll through the whole thread to find what we're looking for.

Honey Mustard Bacon Wraps

Great recipe for a quick snack, or appetizer if you are having guests. You can make and bake them ahead of time and store them in the fridge a few days prior and heat them up in oven or even microwave before serving.

One package Center cut bacon
Loaf of bread (white usually works best, but you can use what you want)
1 package shredded cheddar cheese
Honey mustard dressing (I like the O'Charley's kind, but use what you want)

Heat oven to 350 degrees

Cut crusts off bread and discard crusts (give 'em to the birds biggrin.gif)
Lay 3 pieces of bacon side by side. Flatten out bread with hands and place at the bottom of the bacon strips. Spread honey mustard over the bread, as much as you would like. Sprinkle cheese on top of that, again as much as you want. Roll strips of bacon starting at the bottom and secure each one with a toothpick. Place on cookie sheet. Continue until bacon is gone.

Cook 10-15 minutes or until bacon is cooked to your liking. Let cool and cut the pieces apart with a knife.

** sometimes it is easier to set up all your ingredients, depending on how you like to do things. flatten the bread ahead of time, a bowl of cheese, and a bowl of honey mustard

Chicken Cheese Ball

2 8-oz. packages cream cheese
package dry ranch mix
large can of chicken
shredded cheddar

Mix cream cheese, ranch mix and chicken in bowl - I use a fork to break up chicken, then wash hands and mash up the rest manually. Roll into ball and coat outside with shredded cheddar. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

This is my SIL's recipe that I begged and begged her for - this is SO GOOD. I detest cheese balls, but I can't get enough of this one - and several friends I've made it for have said the same thing!
