So I did my first IVF cycle last month, but due to Moderate OHSS we didn't do the transfer. We ended up freezing 18 grade AA embryos. I will have my FET next month. I am so nervous because there is really only a 50/50 chance it will work or not. Do you ladies have any tips to make it more successful, or maybe some words of wisdom, or just tell me what to expect. We will be transferring 2 embryos.

18 snow babies? That is incredible...congrats!!

I really don't know that I have any advice, but I'll share what I know. My FET was SOOOOO laid back in comparison to the fresh IVF cycle, and I'm sure the stress levels being down helped! I only had 3 appointments before the transfer itself just to make sure that my ovaries were quiet and that my lining was thick enough.

I didn't do anything special really...my transfer was at 3 in the afternoon, and my RE recommended that I go straight home after the transfer and don't get up except to go to the bathroom until the next day. I followed his advice and I'm glad...I started having what I'm sure were implantation cramps that night! I just tried to be healthy and relaxed and it worked. I did eat sunflower seeds every day of the cycle because they are supposed to help implantation...no idea if that helped or not, but since I like to eat them anyway, it was worth a try.

I started testing 4dp5dt, got what I thought might be the start of something that night, and had a positive digi by the evening of 5dp5dt.

Good luck, Morgan! I will be stalking you and really, really hope that you are staring at two gorgeous lines very soon!!

Hi Morgan, that is an awesome # of snowbabies. I think your odds of pregnancy are exteremly high. I have only had 1 FET which was negative but it was so much easier and less stressful then IVF? If I were to recommend anything it would be a several days of bed rest, frequent massages and nothing stressful. Easier said then done right

Good luck. I wish you the best and I look forward to reading your stories.

Wow!!! That is a great number and sounds like you are well on your way to getting your BFP!!! As far as tips Im not sure I have too many. I had a failed IVF and a successful FET 6 months later! For me the FET was just sooo much more relaxed. A few things I did was eat pineapple (core is the "good" part for you) starting after retreival each day. I also ate sunflower seeds each day too and like Melissa said its supposed to help with implantation. I also had the day of transfer plus two more FULL days of bedrest and I did acupuncture the day of transfer around an hour before. I think the biggest key to success for me was to cut out all stress and just relax! Goodluck!
