So I will be beginning my third IVF treatment in the beginning of September. Is there anyone out there that will have a similar date? And I was wondering how did you all prepare your households for your treatment since I think most of the time you are on bedrest for a few days? I just need some ideas to keep my sanity this time Haha. I'm hoping to get my calendar today, which makes me super nervous and excited. I'm so ready to to this at least I think I am! I obviously am not new to the IVF but I have not had anyone that I was able to give me ideas to help me though the bedrest and that awful 2 week wait of finding if it worked or not. How do you cope?

I have only done a retrieval (my transfer was canceled b/c my #s were too high) so I didn't have any bedrest. I was fortunate though b/c I was feeling pretty terrible after my retrieval to have my mom and husband around to help out with our 4 1/2 year old.

Keep us updated with what your time table looks like! I will hopefully be doing my transfer sometime mid to late September, so we may have some similar dates!

Hi! I'm sure there will be a bunch of people popping in for September cycle when it gets closer.

I didn't have to go on bed rest, my doc just said to take it easy. I mostly was just lazy all weekend after transfer. I don't have any kids so there really wasn't much else to do. I've stocked my nook with new books to read and rented some movies to help pass the time. I'm still in the TWW and have another week and a half before my beta and I'm already going crazy. I don't think there's much to be done for it!

Good luck!!

Our RE just told me to relax for a few days. I didn't do massive amounts of really anything and just tried to stay calm and relaxed. We're doing our 2nd IVF around the same time you are. We get our calendar on Wednesday. As far as coping, I just tried to stay calm and not obsess, but that's harder said than done.

Yes staying calm is difficult. I'm almost to the point that I am getting excited. We still have the chance of needing to freeze due to hyperovulation but I'm praying that everything gets to come fresh! My husband keeps counting down the weeks, which I am too, but I know things will work out how they are meant to. I am wishing the best luck to us all!

Hi, I start stimming on Sept 4th, but I don’t have too much advice for you because this is my first and I have no idea what to expect. As far as preparing my household, my DS is 14yo so pretty independent, so not much preparing I have to do. Best wishes to you.

Hi TheFarmersWife, and welcome. I'm new here too! Reading your post one thing came to mind and that was that you seem to think bedrest is a part of IVF. In my experience this is not entirely true, and it is really just being relaxed, stress free and healthy that is most important in those post implantation and pre-harvesting days. So don't go into it thinking you'll be crippled, and bedridden. Anyway, best of luck, and again, welcome.
