So because I overstimmed it was decided at the last minute that instead of doing a fresh egg transfer I would do a frozen egg transfer. I haven't really gotten to talk to my doctor much about this process I was just told to call when I get AF and we would start medication again. I know that I have 9 frozen embryos and I know I have to prepare my uterus for the transfer process but I'm just wondering if any of you that have already done this can fill me in on your process. What meds you had to take? How long from your retrieval to the transfer and any other details you would like to share. Thanks so much!!!

Hi there!

I was on the BCP from 12/29 until 1/17. This was to get me synched up with the cycles in the office. So - you may or may not do this (assumption is not - since you are being told to call on day 1 of your period?)

I'm scheduled for transfer on 2/12. Here is what happened with me.
Last BCP 1/17
1/15 - Started Lupron - 10 units - (to suppress ovaries) - continued daily
1/21 - Started my period
1/24 - baseline u/s & Bloodwork - Started Estrace (considered first day of my cycle) - 1 tab AM - for 5 days, I also decreased Lupron to 5 units.
1/29 - 4 days - 1 Estrace morning, 1 night
2/2 - 5 days - 3 estrace morning - 3 night
2/7 (tomorrow) 2 estrace am & pm (for reamainder of cycle)- u/s & bw - then - I'll stop the Lupron, and start Progesterone in the PM. (PIO) -
2/9 - Start PIO 2x daily (continuing Estrace) -
2/12 - transfer

I hope this helps! Good luck!

Here was my calendar from a year ago. I took BCP for two months prior to the FET.

Dec. 25 - last BCP
Dec. 27 - baseline ultrasound (to check for cysts or other abnormalities)
Jan. 1 - begin Estrogen injections every 3rd day
Jan. 6 and 13 - ultrasounds (to check uterine lining) and bloodwork (to check progesterone and estrogen levels)
Jan. 15 - begin Progesterone injections
Jan. 19 - one last ultrasound to make sure lining is good
Jan. 20 - transfer (transferred 2 embryos)
Jan. 24 - first faint BFP

At 12 weeks pregnant I discontinued the progesterone and estrogen.

The process was SO relaxed compared to the fresh cycle, and it was definitely SOOOOOOOOOOO much easier on my body. Good luck, and if you have other questions, I'll try to help!
