This is a good southern recipe that I found on the internet.
It takes time to make but it's well worth it.

1 lb. lean round steak tenderized
1 small yellow onion
4 carrots cut lengthwise 2" strips
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 can diced tomatoes with liquid
4 tsp. worcestershire sauce
1 bay leaf
canola oil for coating bottom of pan
salt and pepper to taste

coat steak w/ all purpose flour
heat oil in a large non-stick skillet (use a skillet that can be transferred to oven)
add steak and lightly brown
(you can drain the pan for less fat)
to pan add: onion, carrots, tomatoes, worcestershire, salt, pepper, garlic and bay leaf. Cover and simmer for 45 minutes (after 20 minutes turn steak)
Place in casserole dish or transfer skillet to oven and cover.
Bake at 300 degrees for about an hour.
servings 4
