Turkey Apple Meatloaf
1.5 cups finely chopped onion
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1.5 teaspoons rubbed dried sage
3/4 teaspoon salt and pepper
1.2 teaspoon ground allspice
1.5 pounds lean ground turkey
2 large Golden Delicious apples - peeled, cored, and shredded
4 slices whole wheat bread - torn into small pieces
1/4 cup 1% milk
1/4 cup stirred apple jelly

saute onion and garlic in a non-stick pan sprayed lightly with cooking spray. Cool. Stir in all seasonings and add to turkey, apples, bread, and milk. (this mixes best with your hands). Transfer to Batter Bowl OR shape into a 9"x4" loaf in a 9"x13" baking dish. Set dish in roasting pan and add jelly topping. Place roasting pan/baking dish (or Batter Bowl) in ovenand add boiling water 1/2 way up the side of the baking dish (this helps it to cook evenly).

Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Let it stand 5 minutes before slicing.
