1 C flour
1/2 C sugar
2 t baking powder
1/8 t salt
1/2 C milk
2 T butter, softened
1 C brown sugar
1 T butter, melted
1 t vanilla
2 C hot water

Mix first 6 ingredients in a bowl. Mix together w/ a spoon. Turn into greased 8x8 inch pan/casserole dish.
In same bowl, stir sugar, butter, vanilla & hot water until sugar dissolves: Pour over batter. DO NOT STIR!
Bake at 350* for 30 mins, until sauce is on the botto & crust is firm to touch & browned.
