Hey! thanks for checking up on us. I'm sorry it took so long to get back to you, but I haven't been on the boards as much lately.

Things are not that great, but we're working on it. Two of his grades on his most recent progress report were terrible, and the reason was because he hasn't been doing his homework. Basically, he's been lying to me, sitting out with his books and pretending to do his homework, telling me it's done when I ask, but not doing it. His reason? They give him too much work and he doesn't want to do it. So...his dad and I have contacted a counselor/therapist and he has appointments lined up with him throughout the school year. We are also going to contact the school so that we can get on the same page with his teachers and make sure that there aren't any more options for him to skip out on what he's supposed to do. There have been other behavioral issues, but these grades have nearly given his father a heart attack. He was a high honor roll student all through grade school, and he seems to have lost his mind now that he's entered middle school.

How are you?
